Terms of Service & Store Policies

The Botanical Bazaar LLC • St. Petersburg, Florida • Last Updated: February 2026

1. Welcome & Plain-Spoken Agreement

We are growers and plant lovers dedicated to healthy, high-quality botanical specimens. When you browse our site, request custom sourcing, or place an order with The Botanical Bazaar LLC, you agree to these practical store terms. We keep our rules straightforward and transparent so you always know what to expect from us.

2. Ordering, Inventory & Payment

Living plants grow at their own pace, so individual specimens vary in height, leaf count, and character. We process payment securely at checkout. Because inventory changes quickly in our greenhouse, submitting an order reserves your plant once payment completes. If a plant becomes unavailable prior to fulfillment, we will contact you immediately to offer a replacement plant or store credit.

3. Fulfillment: Shipping & Free Local Nursery Pickup

We offer two convenient ways to receive your plants:

  • Nationwide Live Plant Shipping: We pack and ship live specimens nationwide across the United States directly from our St. Petersburg greenhouse. Each plant is secured with root moisture wrapping, cardboard collar protection, and shock-absorbing fill.
  • Local Nursery Pickup ($0.00 / Free): You can choose free local pickup at our St. Petersburg nursery facility. Once your order is ready, we will notify you to schedule a convenient appointment time.

4. Weather Holds & Thermal Protection

Extreme temperatures put live tropical foliage at risk during transit. We monitor destination temperatures along shipping routes and apply the following weather rules:

  • Cool Weather Advisory (< 45°F): When destination temperatures drop below 45°F, we automatically pack your plants using insulated thermal barriers and heat packs.
  • Severe Cold Hard Hold (< 32°F): When temperatures fall below freezing (32°F), we pause shipments to protect living tissue. We hold your order safely in our heated greenhouse until a secure temperature window opens.

5. Agricultural Regulations & State Restrictions

We abide strictly by state and federal agricultural laws. Shipments to states with strict USDA agricultural inspection codes (such as Hawaii, California, Texas, and Alaska) are subject to strict regulatory compliance, potential inspection delays, and weather holds. Furthermore, due to Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (FDACS) quarantine rules regarding citrus greening, citrus trees and regulated host plants cannot be shipped outside the State of Florida. Any out-of-state order containing restricted citrus plants will be canceled and refunded or issued store credit.

6. 100% Live Arrival Guarantee & 48-Hour Claim Process

We take pride in our grown inventory and guarantee that every plant will arrive alive, healthy, and hydrated.

  • Unboxing Window: Please unpack your plant within 24 hours of delivery or nursery pickup so it can access light and fresh air.
  • 48-Hour Claim Window: If your plant arrives damaged or suffers transit shock, email us at info@thebotanicalbazaar.com within 48 hours of carrier delivery timestamp or pickup. Include clear photos of the damaged foliage, root system, and shipping package.
  • Resolution: Once our growers verify the claim, we will dispatch a replacement plant or issue store credit. Minor cosmetic leaf blemishes or minor transit stress do not qualify as plant death or permanent damage.

7. Transit Acclimatization & Long-Term Care

Plants need time to adjust after traveling. Upon arrival, place your plant in bright indirect light, check soil moisture, and allow it to settle for 7 to 14 days before repotting. Immediate repotting voids guarantee coverage. Because post-acclimating watering practices, humidity, and environments vary widely, our formal guarantee expires 48 hours after delivery or pickup. However, our nursery team is always here to answer long-term care questions.

8. Limitation of Liability & Governing Law

We stand firmly behind our nursery stock, but our legal liability for any order is strictly limited to the total purchase price of that order. We are not liable for incidental damage, environmental loss, or improper post-delivery care. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, with jurisdiction in Pinellas County, Florida.

9. Contact Us

If you have questions about these terms, shipping policies, or plant care, email our team directly at info@thebotanicalbazaar.com. We are happy to help.
