Smooth Agave (Agave desmettiana)

Flourishing in full sun, Agave desmettiana produces graceful, architectural leaves with smooth edges and excellent drought tolerance.

Each rosette grows for many years before flowering once and producing a towering central flower spike. After flowering, the main rosette gradually declines but typically leaves basal offsets, or pups, to continue the plant.

Well-Rooted Nursery Stock: These plants are actively outgrowing their 3-inch nursery pots and have vigorous root systems that support rapid establishment after planting.

Light: Requires full sun.

Water: Very drought tolerant. Allow the soil to dry completely between waterings.

Soil: A highly porous, well-draining medium that prevents excess moisture retention.
